Size Border / wire width

Every piece of metal on the badge is this one width — the border, and every line you draw next. That is what cloisonné is, and the offset that produces it is a true constant-distance erosion, not a scaled-down copy of the silhouette.

Click on the blank to lay down points. Drag a point to move it. Each point has two handles — amber for the curve arriving and gold for the curve leaving — and they drag independently, so a run can turn a corner as well as sweep.

Move: grab a run anywhere along its length and drag the whole thing. Its shape does not change — every point travels together.

Circle: click to set the centre, drag out to the radius, let go. It arrives as a closed run of four points, so every handle is still there to pull it into an oval or an egg afterwards.

A line that touches the border at both ends divides the enamel into separate cells, and a closed run makes one on its own. That is the only way to get more than one colour.

Colour

Any colour

Click a cell in the view, then a colour. Cells are computed from what the wire actually encloses, so a region only appears here once it is genuinely closed.

Enamel always fills half the cut. It is not a slider on purpose: level with the metal, the border stops existing.

Square to the face, every milled wall is edge-on and contributes nothing — the dish is the only thing tipping one surface away from another. Flatten it and the badge reads as a sticker.

The metalwork only, in translucent grey, with the cells empty. Built from the same geometry rather than filtered from the render above — greyscaling the earned badge would leave the cells a mid-grey where they need to read as nothing at all.
